Maintenance engineer

Job Title: Maintenance Engineer Salary: GBP40,000 - GBP45,000 Location: Birmingham Contract: Permanent Role Overview ndash; Maintenance Engineer My client is a leading tier 2 manufacturer who play a key part in producing key components for the automotive industry. They are looking for an experienced Maintenance Engineer to join them are their state-of-the-art facility in the West Midlands area. The successful candidate will be required to work on a double day shift basis. Key Responsibilities - Maintenance Engineer Provide breakdown cover for both electrical and mechanical systems. Possess a comprehensive knowledge of PLC controlled systems. Execute planned maintenance when required in line with preventative maintenance schedules. Electronically record all relevant information pertaining to breakdowns and PMs. Conduct modifications, plant relocations, and re-installations (both mechanical and electrical). Adhere to the company #39;s Health and Safety requirements, ensuring a safe working environment. Manage contractors as necessary. Collaborate with the Maintenance Manager to address recurring issues. Undertake projects as directed by the Maintenance Manager. Provide insights on spare part requirements to the Maintenance Manager. Key Qualifications Experience ndash; Maintenance Engineer Apprentice trained or equivalent in electrical or mechanical engineering. Injection moulding experience is desirable but not essential. Familiarity with 17th/18th edition wiring regulations Proficient in reading and working from engineering drawings. Knowledge of PLC rsquo;s Familiarity with sensors and vision systems Proficient in MS Office. Experience in automotive manufacturing is preferred.
