JOB OVERVIEW Due to our continued success and expansion, Midland Structures Ltd are seeking experienced fabricators to join a growing team. Commutable to Brierley Hill, you will have hands-on experience working with structural steelwork and will be able to fabricate complicated assemblies working from detailed drawings. In addition to the required technical skills, you must also be motivated to be a part of a successful and growing business. JOB TITLE Welder / Fabricator DAYS LOCATION On-site JOB TYPE Full-time, permanent RATE GBP13.50 - GBP15.50 p/h (subject to experience) HOURS Mon - Fri, 07:00 - 15:00 (40 hrs per week 30 min. paid break) KEY RESPONSIBILITIES * Read from Tekla drawings fabricate often complex assemblies. * Use of MIG welding equipment to complete single and multi-run fillet and butt welds. * Work to critical dimensions and tolerances, often with minimal supervision. * Work quickly but accurately to meet crucial deadlines. * Work safely and ensure all work meets our quality standards. * Maintain condition of tools and equipment. * Maintain a tidy and safe workplace in line with company polices. * Use of plasma/oxy cutting equipment. * Operating overhead cranes. * Have a flexible approach to working additional hours (dictated by workload). * Motivated to develop and grow with our company. REQUIREMENTS * Must be a time served and experienced welder/fabricator (coded preferred) * Must be able to use MIG welding equipment * Must be able to produce quality welds, including multi-runs * Must be experienced with structural steel / welding or fabricating of steel structures (sheet and light gauge experience will not be considered) * Must have the Right to Work in the UK without restrictions THE COMPANY Midland Structures Ltd is a well-established Structural Steelwork Contractor based in the West Midlands.
