Senior systems engineer

They design many different products such as mobile tablets and boxed computers through to complex racks and innovative IoT platforms. They design their products to withstand extreme and harsh environments. My client is looking for a confident experienced Senior Systems Engineer to join the ever growing team based in Fareham, Hampshire. You will need to have a high level of expertise in, and passion for, developing and designing complex electrical/mechanical and software-based products and enjoy the technical ownership of your projects. Responsibilities for the Senior Systems Engineer: Work with and alongside their friendly and supportive engineering team using your expert skills to design industrial, mobile and rugged computers. Reporting to the System Engineering Lead, you will also be responsible for having the technical helicopter view of the projects you work on. Supporting each of the engineering disciplines to ensure the final product fully meets the customers functional needs. You will have a real contribution in the design and development of products. Essential Capabilities for the Senior Systems Engineer: Strong understanding of systems engineering principles across the development life cycle. Ability to perform effective interface control management, both in terms of application and derivation. Able to analyse system requirements and determine the most appropriate solution supported by analysis, simulation and experience. Ability to collaborate with mechanical, electrical and software designers to ensure integrity of design application. Ability to prepare and review complete project documentation for conformity and quality. This role also allows hybrid working with three days on site and two from home. You will need security clearance for this position.
