Commissioning engineer

Hello, My client is one of the leading food processing equipment suppliers in the UK. They are currently in need of a Service Engineer. Peterborough based, but with travel both within the UK and overseas. They are currently in need of a Commissioning Engineer to join their Peterborough site. ROLE: Working in cooperation with multiple project stakeholders, you will be responsible for the commissioning of equipment, and the supervision of electrical installation in customers rsquo; sites around the world. You will be the ambassador of the company brand, as you will be the last technician remaining on the site during acceptance tests and production launch, at our customers rsquo; sites. DUTIES: * As an expert, commission machinery so that its mechanical, electrical, software and process functions perform to the contract specification * Modify and fault-find software for a variety of PLC platforms * Ensure customer satisfaction by being resourceful on site * When required, supervise other engineers on site either employed or contracted by the company or by the customer * Be aware of and demonstrate the company values and behaviours * Follow all company Health Safety policies and procedures including feeding back any H S information to management * Support Technical and Customer Services in the office and on site * Participate in continuous improvement, helping R D, Manufacturing, Customer Services, Drawing Office SKILLS: * Experience of installing and commissioning value-added capital equipment: Food Beverage, O G, Pharmaceuticals hellip; * Knowledge of fault-finding and program changing on PLC (Rockwell ndash; Siemens and others hellip;) ndash; HMI (Rockwell ndash; Win CC) * Good mechanical and electrical skills: hands-on profile * Customer focus with excellent communication skills and a successful track record of developing customer relationships * Ability to prioritize tasks and work under pressure * Ability to work alone but still be part of a team * Cultural openness LOCATION: PETERBOROUGH BASED Ability to work away from home base for extended periods of time, both in the UK and overseas - up to 75% travel around the world SALARY: GBP45K PER ANNUM PLEASE RESPOND TO ME WITH YOUR MOST UP TO DATE CV TO BE CONSIDERED Kind Regards, Maria Roque - Recruitment Consultant
