PE Global Healthcare is looking for a Registered Manager (Residential Children rsquo;s Home ) based in Bristol. Its a full time permanent job with great salary and benefits Responsibilities bull; To ensure that the home and staff operate in full accordance with all statutory, regulatory and standards requirements including: I. Children Acts 1989 2004 II. Care Standards Act 2000 III. Children rsquo;s Homes Regulations 2015 IV. Working Together to Safeguard Children (2023, et al.) bull; To ensure that all children and young people have their needs met, their welfare promoted at all times and that they are safeguarded from any harm abuse, neglect, exploitation, etc. bull; To understand, embrace and promote the Dyadic Developmental Practice (DDP) model of care, ensuring it is embedded throughout all areas of the home in line with values, the DDP framework and the Statement of Purpose (SoP) bull; To be responsible for the development, control, coordination, and support of the staff group bull; To supervise the Deputy Manager, enabling them to supervise and support the staff team bull; To be responsible for ensuring that effective records are maintained in accordance with Children rsquo;s Homes Regulations 2015, and associated legislation and standards bull; To be responsible for all aspects of budgetary control relating to the home bull; To be responsible for ensuring that effective rotas are prepared, followed and provide an on-call rota, ensuring that staff on rota have sufficient skills, knowledge and experience to keep the children safe from harm bull; To ensure staff respond to any childcare concerns appropriately, including having full regard to the condition that the welfare of children and young people must remain paramount bull; To hold regular staff meetings and to keep staff fully informed of PCM policy and practices bull; To ensure that the building, equipment, and furniture is well maintained and well presented. The home must be clean and tidy, with high standards of cleanliness and hygiene bull; To ensure Health Safety procedures and protocols are fully maintained bull; To ensure that an Area and Location Risk Assessment (ALRA) is maintained and reviewed on a least an annual basis, capturing the views feelings of children and young people placed (about their experiences of the area) as part of that process bull; To ensure that an independent Regulation 44 visitor maintains regular and timely visits to the home, to provide and independent opinion of the effectiveness of the home in safeguarding children and young people and promoting their welfare bull; To maintain a commitment to continuous improvement in all aspects of care within the home QUALIFICATIONS bull; Level 3 NVQ/Diploma in Health and Social Care (Children and Young People). Please note: If you have not attained a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (England) ( ldquo;the Level 5 Diploma rdquo;) or a qualification which the registered provider considers to be equivalent to the Level 5 Diploma, it is essential that a commitment is made to complete a Level 5 within three years of starting in post as a registered manager bull; Relevant qualification or course attendance certificates bull; Good standard of secondary education, including English and Mathematics bull; Current valid UK Driving Licence and business motor insurance EXPERIENCE #x25CF; A minimum of 5 years rsquo; experience of working with children and young people #x25CF; A minimum of 2 years rsquo; experience of working with children and young people in a senior role #x25CF; Worked for at least one year in a role requiring the supervision and management of staff working in a care role KNOWLEDGE SKILLS bull; Detailed, in-depth knowledge of legislation and good practice regarding the care of vulnerable children and young people bull; Dyadic Developmental Practice (DDP) Framework for Therapy and Parenting developmentally traumatised children bull; Understanding of adolescent development and attachment theories bull; A therapeutic working ethos underpinned by academic research bull; A working knowledge of 360 performance reviews bull; Exceptional presentation skills bull; High standard of further and higher education bull; A firm understanding of the importance of research-based practice, innovation, and creativity
