Secondary teaching assistant with construction knowledge

Position Overview: We are looking for a motivated Teaching Assistant with a strong background in Construction to support students within our Secondary School setting. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 6 months of experience working in the UK education sector, coupled with practical knowledge of Construction techniques and principles. Key Responsibilities: Classroom Support: Assist teachers in delivering engaging and informative Construction lessons, providing individualized support to students as needed. Resource Preparation: Prepare materials and resources for Construction lessons, ensuring that all necessary equipment is readily available for practical activities. Student Guidance: Provide guidance and support to students during practical Construction tasks, promoting safety and best practices at all times. Curriculum Enhancement: Collaborate with teaching staff to develop and enhance the Construction curriculum, incorporating real-world examples and industry insights. Assessment Assistance: Assist in the assessment of student work, providing constructive feedback and encouragement to promote skill development and achievement. Behaviour Management: Support the maintenance of a positive and respectful learning environment, addressing any behavioural issues with tact and professionalism. Health and Safety: Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations during Construction activities, taking appropriate measures to mitigate risks and ensure student welfare. Professional Development: Engage in ongoing professional development opportunities to expand knowledge and skills related to both Education and Construction.Qualifications and Experience: Minimum of 6 months of experience working within the UK education sector. Strong knowledge of Construction principles, techniques, and materials. Relevant qualifications in Education or Construction (desirable). Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
