Asbestos Quality Manager Salary: Up to GBP35,000 Location: Bradford, West Yorkshire We have an exciting new opportunity for a Quality Manager to join a well-established asbestos consultancy. Our client, a company already possessing it rsquo;s UKAS accreditation, is looking for a candidate with quality management experience to help maintain and improve the company rsquo;s quality management systems. This is an office based role, however occasional site work will also be required. Role and responsibilities: * Following and maintaining internal audit schedules and QC processes for both asbestos surveying and asbestos air monitoring. * Conducting both on-site and desktop auditing, quality assurance and quality control, to ensure the highest standards of service delivery. * Monitoring and auditing the requirements relating to the company #39;s ISO 17020 and ISO 17025 UKAS accreditation. * Checking the health, safety, environmental and quality performance of the site work, site records and asbestos reports, reporting any sub-standard work, implementing the company policies, assisting in continuous improvement and ensuring compliance with Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012 and other regulatory asbestos requirements. * Supporting the business and the Asbestos Technical Manager to ensure that the company and statutory requirements are met. * Providing timely support and information to the Technical Manager and escalate any issues that affect the operational performance and compliance of the business. * Undertaking site work, method witness audits, training and technical reviews of asbestos survey and air monitoring reports. * Providing updates and reports to the Technical Manager and take part in technical and management meetings. * Coaching and developing technical staff, communicating and consulting with the workforce, and supporting the training needs of all staff. The successful candidate will have: * An excellent understanding of current asbestos legislation along with statutory regulations and Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental Management standards. * BOHS P402, P403, P404 and P405 qualifications as a minimum, although a S301/W504/M504 or CoCA/CCP qualification would be advantageous. * Experience of maintaining a ISO 17020 and ISO 17025 quality management system * Experience in conducting four stage clearances, reassurance, leak, background and occupational air monitoring. * Asbestos surveying experience including conducting asbestos management, refurbishment and demolition surveys to a range of domestic, commercial and industrial properties. * Experience of participating in QC and RICE schemes What rsquo;s in it for you? * Salary up to GBP35,000 * Company vehicle and fuel card * Enhanced overtime rate * All expenses paid including meal allowance and accommodation paid if staying away for site work. * Opportunity to develop your professional career with a market-leading organisation. * Additional training opportunities
