Tradewind are recruiting! Are you a Behaviour Mentor who enjoys looking for a new role in Worsley? I am currently recruiting for a confident Behaviour Mentor or Teaching Assistant to work within the SEN department of a secondary school in Salford for a full-time role from September 2023 or sooner if possible. The role is offered initially on a temporary basis paying up to GBP90 per day and may become a permanent appointment for the right candidate. The Role Behaviour Mentors will help with supporting teaching and learning in the SEN support unit of a secondary school specialising in supporting children who may struggle with social and emotional mental health. Five days a week - 8.30am to 3.30pm The role will be based in the school #39;s unit for students with EHCPs Students will often need additional support to access the curriculum, and this requires a strong amount of patience and understanding. The Unit is to provide a safe learning environment where students can learn with support and develop independent study skills. The TA will be Supporting students on a 1 to1 basis or in small groups. Supporting young people with literacy and numeracy and general subject knowledge Supporting young people with social, emotional and behavioural difficulties Supporting young people with mental health needs and anxiety Work collaboratively with other member of the SEN team, senior leaders, heads of departments, parents and carers, social workers and other members of the child #39;s multidisciplinary team. Staff retention has improved considerably in the previous 18 months which has given the school a better continuity for student progression..
