Personal care teaching assistant

Role - SEND Teaching Assistant - Personal care Start Date: September Hours - Full time Area - Nottingham City Centre My client is currently looking to recruit a SEND teaching assistant to work 1-1 with a child with autism, who requires personal care support in year 1. They are a larger than average Primary school which is 3 form entry. They are part of an inspiring academy chain and are looking for a committed, calm, caring and imaginative SEND Teaching Assistant, who has experience of personal care and changing. The school has high expectations for pupil #39;s behaviour, establishing and maintaining good positive and productive relationships is key across the school for success. Responsibilities for this SEND Support role: Supporting a SEND pupil with autism on a 1:1 basis in the classroom Work on differentiated activities to deliver to the student Liaise with the SENCO/Inclusion manager to deliver relevant support to the pupil Develop social/emotional skills of the pupil Work with teachers to monitor progress of the pupil Accompanying the pupil to relevant therapy sessions Requirements for the role: Previous experience of working with children or young adults with special needs is essential A teaching assistant NVQ level 3 or equivalent Manual handling experience would be an advantage Care work or personal care experience Pay rate GBP85-GBP100 per day depending on experience By working with Tradewind, we can offer you: *We attract top education talent and in return offer top rates of pay *We care about your training and development more than any other agency - which is why we can offer you more certified CPD courses than any other education recruitment agency, 25 to be exact!
