Service Engineer / Field Service Technician / Mechanical Engineer required to join a leading engineering supplier of compressed air systems where you will be part of a brand new depot opening in Plymouth, with fantastic progression opportunites. The Successful Service Engineer / Field Service Technician / Mechanical Engineer will provide electrical and mechanical repair, service and maintenance on various compressed air systems such as compressors, vacuum pumps, blowers dryers, nitrogen generators and other compressed air products at customer sites across South West- Plymouth, Exeter, Torquay, Yeovil and sorrounding areas. . The Service Engineer / Field Service Technician / Mechanical Engineer will ideally have a field service background in the compressed air industry or strong electromechanical experience in filtration, pneumatics, hydraulics, nitrogen generators, pipework, vacuum pumps, vacuum systems, valves, pumps. motors, rotating equipment, hydraulics, pneumatics, industrial, refrigeration, HVAC, mechanical engineering or similar transferable products. The Compressor Service Engineer will undertake planned and preventative maintenance, provide advice, diagnostics, fault finding of compressed air systems, nitrogen generators, vacuum pumps, blowers dryers, nitrogen generators and other compressed air products. Installing compressed air/water nitrogen pipelines into all forms of the manufacturing industry. Perform emergency breakdown fault finding and repairs on various compressed air equipment. Liaise with various engineering departments. Fully remote role, can be based in the South West- Plymouth, Exeter, Torquay, Yeovil or sorrounding areas.Service Engineer / Field Service Technician / Mechanical Engineer Requirements Proven diagnostic skills on complicated electrical / mechanical engineering systems. Experience as a Field Service Engineer / Service Engineer / Service Technician / Installation Engineer / Compressor Engineer / Mechanical Engineer / M E Engineer / Electrical Engineer, Pipework Engineer, Pipefitter or similar. The ability in maintaining good professional working relationships with existing and new customers. Good working knowledge of three phase electrics and controls is advantageous. Field service background in the compressed air industry or strong electromechanical experience in filtration, pneumatics, hydraulics, nitrogen generators, pipework, vacuum pumps, vacuum systems, valves, pumps. motors, rotating equipment, hydraulics, pneumatics, industrial, refrigeration, HVAC, mechanical engineering or similar transferable products. Full product training provided. A technical mechanical / electrical / electronic / instrumentation or engineering qualification, apprentice trained, HNC, HND or Degree would be advantageous. Willingness to travel and commute to Plymouth occasionally to collect parts etc
