Production operative

Pertemps are recruiting for an award-winning company based in Horncastle. The company, who are respected as one of the leading companies in the UK in the packaging industry are looking Production Operatives to work in the manufacturing department where you would be required to assist in the running of machinery to achieve the finished product which is a wide range of paper bags. Full training will be given; however, applicants must have experience of working in a manufacturing or production environment and have basic mechanical knowledge. What hours will I be working? You will be required to work rotating shifts which will be 6:00am ndash; 2:00pm one week then 2:00pm ndash; 10:00pm. There may also be the opportunity to work a night shift, 10:00pm to 06:00am on a three-week rotation. How much will I be paid? The pay for the role will be GBP11.44 per hour initially. Successful applicants will be required to train to Machine Operator level after a successful training period which will result in a higher rate of pay. As a Production Operative you will be expected to carry out the following duties ndash; Assisting with the running of the machines Feeding the machine with paper or card correctly Taking products of the back of the machine when the process is complete. Quality checking the product.
