Senior highway project manager

Senior Project Manager - Highways and Civil Engineering Our client has a new opportunity for a Senior Project Manager to join their Design and Consultancy team in West Bridgford. The successful candidate will lead a team of project managers and improvement officers to deliver a varied programme, from local improvement schemes through to significant and complex highway and civil engineering projects. Responsibilities of the role: middot;To lead and co-ordinate the planning and delivery of projects, understanding company wide and third party dependencies, resource and technical requirements. middot;To plan resource capacity, commitment and forward workflow, working collaboratively across the company. middot;To take responsibility for the scoping, development and achievement of project management services bringing together design and environmental services to enable successful delivery middot;To provide expertise and manage the process of complex queries for internal and external stakeholders through to resolution middot;To plan and lead the future business development of the team to achieve growth strategy; expanding the client base, innovating and exploiting market opportunities. middot;Manage, coach and develop a team of technical staff engaged in all aspects of service area to enable individuals to achieve their potential and deliver effective business results middot;To hold team to account to comply with all statutory responsibilities including Health, Safety and Environmental, duties, policies and procedures to ensure standards are met Requirements of the role: middot;Proven experience in managing major projects and a design service delivered through appropriate contractual arrangements. middot;Proven experience in managing people and performance. middot;Proven experience in managing a portfolio of large scale highway and civil engineering projects. middot;Proven experience of financial management and budgetary monitoring spend to give confidence on delivery programme and out turn costs being to client satisfaction. middot;A degree in Project Management, Civil Engineering, or a related subject and post qualification relevant experience, or equivalent knowledge gained through practical experience in a highway and/or civil engineering project management environment
