An extensive presence spanning 90 countries, offering a comprehensive range of storage options through six distinct brands. From self-storage to temperature-controlled facilities and dry storage, catering to a wide range of industries such as pharmaceuticals, food, and renewable energy. The Company currently operates globally with 24 sites in the UK with further growth anticipated. Specific Work Tasks Responsibilities; 1. Accounting Operations Management: Oversee various accounting functions, including: #x25AA; Accounts Receivable (A/R) #x25AA; Accounts Payable (A/P) #x25AA; General Ledger (GL) #x25AA; Cost Accounting / Controlling #x25AA; Inventory Accounting #x25AA; Revenue Recognition 2. Budgeting and Forecasting: #x25AA; Coordinate the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts. #x25AA; Analyse and report variances to ensure alignment with financial goals. 3. Monthly Financial Statements: #x25AA; Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements. #x25AA; These statements provide insights into the company rsquo;s financial health and performance. 4. Regulatory Reporting: #x25AA; Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. #x25AA; Coordinate the preparation of necessary reports. 5. Technical Accounting Research: #x25AA; Investigate and address complex accounting issues to ensure compliance. #x25AA; Stay informed about changes in accounting standards. 6. Quality Control and Internal Controls: #x25AA; Maintain quality control over financial transactions and reporting. #x25AA; Strengthen internal controls through documented policies and procedures. 7. Tax Filings and Government Reporting: #x25AA; Manage compliance with local, state and federal government reporting requirements. #x25AA; Handle tax filings. 8. Financial Risk Management: #x25AA; Assess and manage financial risks. #x25AA; Implement risk mitigation strategies. 9. Additional Duties: #x25AA; International Branch Tax Returns. #x25AA; International Transfer Pricing Policies. #x25AA; Special Ad-hoc Projects. #x25AA; Year End financial accounts and audit assistance. Requirements for this role bull; Fully qualified financial controller bull; Expert in excel bull; Good problem-solving skills bull; Effective communication skills with the ability to build productive relationships with key stakeholders, team colleagues and other members of staff including external parties bull; Ability to work independently or as part of a team bull; Knowledge of tax legislation and accounting standards in different jurisdictions bull; Flexible to work outside normal business hours at times and carry out additional tasks if required bull; Possibility of some travel to other destinations and sites across the world bull; Adaptable to change and able to work under pressure bull; Excellent attention to detail Greatest Challenges / Attractions of the job The role on offer is a varied role. Bonus: Discretionary annual bonus paid twice yearly ndash; currently November and May. Holidays: 25 days per annum plus bank holidays Life Assurance: Day 1 benefit. Health Insurance: After 3 months and on the next entry point of either April or October. Salary Date: On or before 25th of each month.
