Finance director

Finance Director Hybrid working with minimum of 2 days in the office in Alton, Hampshire. Induction period will be office based. Salary Circa GBP90,000. About us Disaster Care Platinum are a trusted national provider of disaster restoration services specialising in the emergency cleaning and drying of properties after fire or flood events. As this dynamic, privately owned, fast-paced, business enters a new phase of its growth, the group is looking for an experienced Finance Director to join the Senior Leadership Team. Disaster Care turnover is GBP25 million and continuing to grow. The Role You will be a driven and proactive individual with relevant post-qualification experience with the ability to inspire and motivate the finance teams. You will have a hands-on approach and will be able to demonstrate excellent communication and leadership skills. Previous experience of leading finance transformation projects or automating finance processes is also required. Responsibilities bull; Lead and oversee all financial operations and controls, including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, analysis and cash flow management bull; Proven ability to learn finance software (Access Financials) and understand the end to end data processes relating to Finance bull; Production of consolidated monthly management accounts bull; Production of statutory accounts for all businesses within the group bull; Lead and implement key financial strategies and initiatives bull; Develop and lead the Finance and Management Information (MI) Teams bull; Building bespoke financial models bull; Advising the business owner on accounting and tax matters bull; Ensure strong cash management and cashflow forecasting bull; Maintain compliance with relevant financial rules, regulations, accounting principles, and best practices bull; Provide strategic financial guidance to the CEO and other members of the Senior Leadership Team to support (investment) decision-making and to drive business growth bull; Maintenance of the Risk Register and identification of mitigation strategies bull; Liaise with external parties e.g. bank, external auditors, tax advisors bull; Review current systems and implement new robust ways of working, optimizing resource availability Candidate Profile bull; ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified accountant with at least 5 years post qualification experience bull; Proven track record of success as a Finance Director or in a similar senior finance role bull; In-depth knowledge of financial regulations, accounting principles, and best practices bull; Strong technical financial accounting skills bull; Excellent leadership and communication skills bull; A working knowledge of Access Financials (desirable), and strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel bull; Experience in strategic planning, financial modelling, and risk management bull; Commercial acumen Ability to work flexibly, quickly adapting to developments and able to apply judgement
