Astute #39;s Power team is partnering with a large power generation company to recruit an Electrical Controls and Instrumentation Technician to join their Energy from Waste plant in Boston, Lincolnshire. The EC I Technician role comes with a starting salary of GBP50,000 + bonus + benefits. Responsibilities and duties Reporting to the Maintenance Manager you will: middot; Fault finding, installing and maintaining electrical systems, instrumentation (pressure, temperature, flow and level) and control systems middot; Calibrations and loop checking of instruments relating to the sites DCS/control systems middot; Programming the sites DCS/PLC systems middot; Maintaining the continuous emission monitoring systems (CEMS) middot; Assist in the development of plant modification and improvement work middot; Maintaining accurate maintenance records using the site CMMS middot; Supervising and directing on site contractors when required middot; Ensuring strict HSE compliance at all times Professional qualifications We are looking for someone with the following: middot; A recognised EC I engineering qualification such as NVQ Level 3 / HNC middot; At least 4 years of experience working in the maintenance team in a heavy process environment such as a power station, refinery, chemical plant etc middot; Candidates with an instrumentation bias are preferred Personal skills The EC I Technician role would suit someone who is: middot; Ability to work well alone or in a team middot; Is results focused and can deliver accurate results on time. middot; Has strong written and verbal communication skills.
