As an SEN teacher, you will be working with students with autistic spectrum disorder (ASD) who have found mainstream education challenging and may have significant gaps in their education. Your responsibilities as an SEN teacher may include: Lesson planning and delivery for students with a range of learning difficulties and complex needs. Implementing behaviour management techniques, which may include physical restraints, to maintain a positive and safe learning environment. Establishing rapport and communicating regularly with parents and carers.To be an SEN teacher, you will need: The right to work in the UK. Early Career Teacher (ECT) with relevant experience will be considered. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or overseas trained teacher awaiting QTS. A clear and up-to-date DBS Experience working as an SEN teacher in a UK school.
