Behaviour specialist teaching assistant

Do you have experience supporting children with challenging behaviour? Are you seeking your next role in education? Empowering Learning are working alongside a school in the NG13 area who are looking to appoint a teaching assistant to support a group of children who present with EBD SEMH This role is due to start as soon as possible. The job will be on a fixed term contract until July 2024 and the hours of work are 08:30 - 4:00. There is a possibility the role will become permanent for the right person. The main duties within this role will be: Providing in class support to pupils who struggle to engage in class Following the school #39;s behaviour and reward system to engage children De-escalating situations where challenging behaviour has arisen Helping children devise strategies to help improve their behaviours Working on a 1:1 basis with children with EBD Liaising with the school SENCO around progress of targeted pupils The school are looking for someone who: Has previous experience of working with children with EBD Possesses at least one years #39; school experience Can build excellent relationships with the children Is able to engage children in academic lessons Can successfully de-escalate situations of challenging behaviour To apply for this role, please send across your CV via the application page.
