Our partner secondary school are looking to appoint a Teaching Assistant, able to support students with overcoming barriers to learning. The supportive school is located in the Nottingham, NG3 area and the successful candidate will be supporting students to learn and develop. The role/ responsibilities: Actively support students who are underperforming or have an identified special educational need, inside and outside of the classroom Provide 1-1 and small group support, understanding any needs that the students have and ensuring that they are able to access learning material Create and build strong relationships with the young people you work with, providing effective support and guidance Ensure that students are progressing socially, emotionally and academically Keep track of student progress, including keeping effective records of mentoring activities Communicate with other members of staff, parents and any other agencies that may be involved with studentsRequirements: A relevant qualification/degree is desirable Previous experience of working with children/young people on an individual or group basis Awareness of potential barriers to learning Excellent communication and interpersonal skills A valid DBS and two references are a requirement for this roleIf you feel you would be the right fit for this role, then please apply through submitting your CV.
