Mechanical project manager

At CDM we are currently working with a Regional Mechanical Contractor to recruit a Mechanical Project Manager, Due to project wins and expansion they are keen to recruit someone to oversee multiple Hospital and Educational projects with a range of values from GBP20,000 up to GBP500,000, within a 30 mile radius of Manchester. For the role they are looking for the right person to have extensive experience of hospital and educational projects within live environments. Requirements for the role: Mechanical Trade background in Building Services essential, HND/HNC/ONC Qualification desired Overall Purpose: * To organise and deliver mechanical engineering services contracts * Uphold and communicate the values and culture of the company * Position the client as the Contractor of choice Key Responsibilities: * Ensure all company health safety requirements are complied with * Produce risk and method statements for mechanical services contracts * Ensure each engineering contract operation is carried out profitably and on time * To attend client meetings, design meetings and site meetings * Coordinate daily activities of directly employed operatives * Handover contracts on completion and manage aftercare issues * The above list of job duties is not exclusive or exhaustive and the post holder will be required to undertake such tasks as may reasonably be expected within the scope of the role Competences: * Be self-motivated and able to work as part of a specialist team * Be analytical and have good problem-solving skills * Must have excellent interpersonal skills and be able to communicate effectively at all levels * Be proficient with Microsoft Word Excel * Be commercially astute and cost conscious * Be flexible * Have a strong focus on customer service and customer satisfaction * Leadership skills * Excellent communication skills * Commercial acumen In return you will be offered a role with a stable and expanding Mechanical contractor who can offer local work within the North West
