Project manager

We are recruiting for a Mechanical Biased Project Manager to oversee and deliver multiple projects across the North and Midlands involving plant / utilities such as CHP, gas boilers, heat pumps, decarbonisation schemes etc. plus new network connections, chilled water, district heating and cooling pipework. The role is a permanent position paying up to 60- 65k (dependant on experience) plus car or car allowance. Expenses paid, pension 5%, Life cover x3 salary plus other benefits. The role can involve project management across the North of England and Midlands therefore will require working away on occasion and hybrid working. Responsibilities / Duties include: bull; To manage the delivery of predominantly Mechanical, (plus Electrical) and associated Civil project activities, and coordinate with the Engineers, Designers, Planners QS/Legal teams. bull; Produce bill of quantity/materials take off. bull; Ensuring all deliverables are to the required standard and specification. bull; Manage the project to ensure all contractual aspects are met, ensuring the compliance of all parties, particularly with respect to completion of the project prior to programmed operational start date. bull; To adhere to project delivery systems and procedures. bull; To manage the timely production of O M manuals with the Principal designer. bull; Develop and maintain effective working relationships with project sponsors and other key stakeholders. bull; Produce weekly/monthly project progress reports. bull; Where applicable, carry out the Principal Contractor role. bull; To work with the planner in order to track, monitor and report project status to senior management. bull; Effective planning, allocation and management of resources. bull; Comply at all times with client policies and procedures. bull; Manage and own the project budgets and produce monthly financial reports with the project QS. bull; Coordinate with the Commissioning Manager. bull; Responsible for the quality of delivery and final installation. bull; Coordination with Operation Team. bull; Carry out project reporting in line with required deadlines. middot; Identify, monitor, mitigate and manage project and operational risks. bull; Establish and maintain good supplier relations to ensure effective delivery and quality of Installations. bull; Maintain a solution based approach to problems. Requirements bull; HNC/Degree level required in either a mechanical (or electrical) discipline. bull; CSCS Project Manager Card bull; SMSTS Qualified bull; Ideally NRSWA card bull; First Aid qualified. bull; Experience of delivering multi-million pound M E/Civil Projects with a diverse project delivery team bull; Extensive Project Management Experience bull; Mechanical/Electrical Engineering bull; Ideally Civil Engineering (including Road-works and pipe laying etc.) bull; Commercial /contract experience bull; Valid Driving license If you are interested then please click the APPLY button now PRS are a leading specialist recruitment and search selection consultancy within the Building Services, FM and Support Sectors.
