Commercial property painter

JOB PURPOSE The role of the Commercial Painter is to: The Commercial Painter role covers responsibilities for keeping our showrooms, and workshops in audit ready condition regarding all aspects of painted surfaces for the enhancement of the properties owned or leased as part of the Harwoods Group property portfolio. Department/Business/Location: Group Reports to: Facilities Maintenance Team Leader KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Essential Flexible and self-motivated, able to work on their own with minimal supervision, but with the ability to work as part of a team on larger scale projects. Able to communicate effectively with Maintenance Team Leader and senior site managers to understand what is expected and deliver a finish that meets the high standards expected by the group. Be able to review sites and estimate the level of time and materials needed to complete the works to a high standard and communicate that to the Maintenance Team Leader Senior site managers. Empowered to make decisions on what areas are the priority and how best to deliver within budget and time frame available, whilst communicating this to all stakeholders. Comfortable traveling to over 30 sites based in West Sussex Hampshire area. Manage the upkeep of Facilities utilised equipment and supplies to meet health and safety standards and certification i.e. tools used solely by the team. Ensure personal certification training courses are up to date to ensure Internal and External H S compliance. Respond to painting emergencies. Comply with all safety procedures and requirements. Support any after-hours painting needs and activities as required. Ensure all tasks are recorded, allocated and updated using appropriate administrative tools (Autotask). Skills Requirements Full UK Driving License (Company vehicle and fuel card) Competent in literacy, numeracy, and IT Skills based courses an advantage. Time Management and the ability to work both independently without supervision and as part of a team. Physically fit to be able to perform the manual tasks demanded of the role. Experience Desirable 3 plus years of experience in an equivalent or similar role and field. Hours: Mon - Fri 8am - 5pm with occasional evening and weekend overtime.
