Senior management accountant

Venture Recruitment Partners are delighted to be supporting a diverse Services business, based in Basingstoke, who are seeking to recruit a Senior Management Accountant on a 12 month FTC basis. Key Responsibilities of the Senior Management Accountant include: Identifying, implementing and sharing proactive ways to improve business partnering, taking the lead in driving projects and initiatives through to completion Continually improving forecasting by providing high quality insight and pattern analysis to budget holders, recommending areas that need focus and ways to improve Taking the lead in managing period end procedures to support timely and accurate delivery of monthly management reporting, including variance analysis, follow up and detailed commentary Taking responsibility for the budget and forecasting process, using your experience to support budget holders and knowing when to encourage, when to instruct, and when to push back Delivering robust analysis of actuals to ensure accurate accounting, understanding and analysis with recommendations for Senior Management Presenting financial reports to Senior Management teams and key stakeholders, being able to explain complex financial concepts to non-financial colleagues Key Skills/Experience of the Senior Management Accountant include: Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with demonstrable experience in a similar senior management accounting role Strong working knowledge of processes and controls surrounding budgeting, forecasting and management account preparation, including detailed report writing and analysis Be an effective communicator with the ability to build trusting relationships with key stakeholders Have experience in presenting financial reports, data and insights clearly and confidently to non-finance stakeholders Demonstrate strong analytical skills with the ability to adapt quickly to changing business needs, demonstrating a logical approach to your work Salary - GBP60-66,000 + benefits Hybrid working - 2 days per week in the office Venture Recruitment Partners (also trading as Chilworth Partnership Ltd) is a Recruitment Agency.
