Lead Engineer - Electrical or Mechanical Thurrock - RM20 Salary to GBP45,264 depending on Location and DOE Plus package (Salary includes Standby fee for the year) Permanent full time We are working with a growing and highly reputable facilities management contractor who are a genuinely fantastic company to work for, look after their staff well and have established and stable contracts nationwide. This role will be working on a static site in Thurrock middot; To maintain and repair a range of electrical, mechanical plant and equipment including all building services as defined on the ldquo;Scope of Works rdquo; in an efficient and cost-effective manner, whilst complying with the laid-down Company Health and Safety policy. middot; To carry out management duties as detailed in the principal accountabilities To provide on-site coaching to the Technicians and other engineers within your team. Key Accountabilities: Engineering Compliance middot; To carry out the duties and responsibilities of the DMT when required middot; To provide on call cover to multiple sites and be part of the on-call rota middot; To provide technical support to the DMT middot; To ensure under performance on KPI rsquo;s are understood within the teams and action plans are in place to improve performance middot; Ensure that all costs are approved following the correct company procedures middot; To check the quality of PPM rsquo;s conducted by the DMT rsquo;s and DMA rsquo;s during site visits Management middot; To support the Hard Services Manager on technical, organisational and people issues middot; To provide cover for the Hard Services Manager during times of absence, holidays and meetings. middot; To carry out specified depot programme both reviews on quality and Health Safety and take action on non-compliances middot; To complete specified reports and take action on any issues raised middot; To audit FM documentation and take action on any non-compliances middot; To deal promptly with all Help Desk calls and ensure that the issues are resolved effectively, escalating where necessary to the appropriate management level middot; To attend Depot Project, Trial, Pre-start meetings when appropriate, ensuring adequate support from others on specialist issues. middot; To attend meetings in the absence of the Hard Services Manager middot; To regularly communicate with the depot team on all FM activity. middot; To complete and monitor all necessary reports on the performance of team members, and take action on unsatisfactory performance. middot; To be fully aware of the Company rsquo;s People procedures and use them to deal with People related issues up to the specified level. middot; To participate in the recruitment and selection process of FM engineering colleagues middot; To assist the Hard Services Manager when requested middot; To liaise with the client team on any key issues that impact on trade. The Successful Applicant To be considered for our Lead Engineer role; * You will be an experienced engineer ideally in a static site * You will be qualified electrically or mechanically - ideally level 3 electrical or equivalent * You will have previous working within distribution/warehouse/large commercial buildings ideally in a static position * You will ideally have lead or supervisory experience * Excellent communication skills Whats On Offer? * Salary to GBP45,264 depending on Location and DOE Plus package (Salary includes Standby fee for the year) * Monday - Friday - 40 hours per week * On call payment of GBP150 per week included in salary * Overtime available * 33 days annual * Pension contribution * Private healthcare * Genuine progression
