M e maintenance engineer

Electrical maintenance engineer GBP40k - GBP44k+ training to become an AP. 25 days holiday + bank holiday 39 hour work week - Monday - friday. My client is seeking an experienced M E (multiskilled) Facilities Maintenance Engineer to join their team of engineers based at a critical Pharmaceutical site based in Slough. In this role, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of electrical systems in our facilities. Your primary focus will be on ensuring the smooth operation and safety of electrical equipment and infrastructure. The ideal candidate should have a strong electrical background, excellent troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work independently. Responsibilities: * Perform routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs on electrical systems and equipment. * Troubleshoot electrical issues and diagnose problems accurately. * Repair or replace faulty electrical components, such as wiring, switches, and circuit breakers. * Conduct preventive maintenance tasks, including testing and calibration of electrical systems. * Ensure compliance with electrical safety regulations and maintain a safe work environment. * Collaborate with other maintenance team members to coordinate repair and maintenance activities. * Keep accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment status. * Provide technical guidance and support to other team members as needed. * Stay updated with advancements in electrical systems and industry best practices. * Respond promptly to emergency repair requests and resolve issues in a timely manner. Qualifications: * C G/ NVQ lvl 2 3 in Electrical/ Mechancial installation or equivalent; additional technical certifications in electrical maintenance preferred. * Proven experience as a Facilities Maintenance Engineer with an electrical bias. * Solid knowledge of electrical systems, including wiring, circuits, and distribution panels. * Proficiency in troubleshooting electrical/ Mechanical issues and diagnosing problems. * Familiarity with electrical safety regulations and best practices. * Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and blueprints. * Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills. * Excellent attention to detail and ability to perform tasks with accuracy. * Effective communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team. * Flexibility to work on-call or outside regular business hours as needed.
