Candidates will need maintenance experience within a food or pharmaceutical manufacturing environment. This role would suit multi skilled candidates and candidates of either a mechanical or electrical bias will be suitable. The successful candidate will work independently, responsible for carrying out preventative maintenance on a range of automated production equipment, including working with pneumatic systems, and will carry out reactive maintenance when required. The successful candidate will originally start on an early shift and will eventually move onto a double days shift pattern. The role is based from the companys site in Biggleswade, however you will be required to travel to their other sites in Bedford and Hitchin when required. The successful candidate will also be involved in a 1 in 5 week callout rota, and the company will pay additional payments and premium rates for any additional work carried out. The Maintenance Engineer Role: A Carry out mechanical and electrical maintenance and repair work on food production machinery A Focus on preventative maintenance : reactive when required A Order spares and parts when required A Assist with installations when required A Adhere to companys hygiene and HSE policies The Maintenance Engineer Candidate: A Multi skilled : mechanically or electrically biased A Maintenance experience working in a manufacturing environment A Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces when required A Comfortable working independently
