Controls Engineer : Coventry : Up to A GBP 45,000 plus benefits : Permanent A Controls Engineer opportunity has become available for one of the worlds leading technology companies for development, simulation and testing in the automotive industry. Your responsibilities: * Support process for powertrain control requirements development. * Design, simulate, implement, debug, test and research control and estimation algorithms for various electrical, mechanical, and thermal systems in powertrain systems. * Engage with suppliers and other stake holders to review hardware and software attributes. * Develop the Software and Controls for the electrified powertrain. for this position you should have some of the following: * Engineering/Science Degree (or equivalent). * Automotive engineering knowledge/experience in design and validation for electrified powertrain systems. * Experience of automotive control systems software development, data logging and calibration tools. * Excellent communication and presentation skills. * A working knowledge of vehicle architectures, communication protocols CANFD, FlexRay and Automotive Ethernet. * Experience with Vector (e.g., CANalyzer, CANape) and Mathworks tools (e.g. Matlab/Simulink) or equivalent. * Driving license valid for driving in the UK.
