Air and ocean export freight operations coordinator

Our specialist freight and project shipment solutions Client are looking to appoint an Air and Ocean Export Freight Operations Coordinator to join their busy Import and Export Operations department within their Birmingham branch. Reporting to the Airfreight Operations Manager, you will be responsible for coordinating air freight activities on a day:to:day basis, with a particular focus on export operations. Air and Ocean Export Freight Operations Coordinator duties include: * Arranging Export airfreight shipments from start to finish. * Booking with selected carriers, processing relevant documentation and processing invoices on time. * Submitting export customs declarations in the system Cargowise. * Hands on approach with all aspects of the forwarding process. * High communication skills and ability to deliver excellent customer service. * Build internal relationships with colleagues and externally with customers, suppliers, and overseas colleagues. * Proactive with strong organisation skills. * Building and developing strong customer relationships. Skills, Experience and Competencies required from the Air and Ocean Export Freight Operations Coordinator: * 3 Years + Freight Forwarding industry knowledge * Knowledge and experience of Import/Export multimodal business * Knowledge/skills required for Air Freight pricing Were keen to speak to people who have a general good understanding of logistics processes and procedures, including ocean freight operations and knowledge of hazardous cargo. Youll be organised by nature and will thrive in a fast paced and dynamic atmosphere. Being proficient in Microsoft Office, having excellent attention to detail skills, as well as being good with numbers and a confident communicator are imperative attributes for the Air and Ocean Export Freight Operations Coordinator.
