Quality engineer

You would be working in the plant Quality team, maintaining and improving product quality, and follow and enhance the existing quality systems. Commutable from: Stoke on Trent, Uttoxeter, Market Drayton, Eccleshall, Leek, Congleton, Sandbach, Ashbourne, Stone, Stafford, Nantwich, Key Benefits: * Salary: GBP40,000 - GBP45,000 * Free parking on site * Company Pension * 25 Days holiday plus stats on top * Fast, dynamic manufacturing environment * High staff retention * Friendly supportive team * Long term excellent prospects Quality Engineer Responsibilities: * Conduct both internal IATF, quality process audits * Support the engineering change process through weekly meetings and be responsible for APQP requirements. * Support annual testing schedule for all our products using an external laboratory. * Support NPI * Control and manage internal non-conforming parts/supplier rejects, system and non-conforming material area * Support with new projects throughout the APQP process as plant quality representative. * Support the other departments with 8D resolution of quality issues * Scrap reduction * Control and manage the calibration schedule of all internal equipment through internal inspections external calibration services. * Support manufacturing, co-ordinate internal product/process improvement. bull; * Monitor internal scrap and help conduct scrap improvement activities with the plant team. bull; * Manage supplier certificates of conformity documentation, monitoring and recording data submitted. Quality Engineer Duties: * Quality Engineering experience * Proven problem-solving abilities using 8D, PPAP rsquo;s and APQP * Knowledge of ISO9001 and IATF16949 * Auditor /Lead Auditor qualification desirable * Knowledge of lean manufacturing techniques, such as 5S and Poke Yoke * To have the ability to form strong working relationships * Customer /Supplier exposure What are you waiting for?
