Area Sales Manager ndash; Flooring Job Title: Contract Sales Representative ndash; Flooring Industry Sector: Architects, Interior Designers, Specifiers, End Users, Healthcare, Education, Social Housing, Housing Associations, Flooring Contractors and Flooring Distributors Areas to be covered: South Wales Herefordshire Remuneration: GBP36,000-GBP38,000. + up to GBP6,000 Commission Benefits: Fully Expensed Car Full Benefits The role of the Area Sales Manager Flooring Solutions will involve: * Field sales position, selling our clients manufactured range of floor coverings including: safety flooring, resilient flooring (smooth), heterogeneous flooring (smooth) and LVT (luxury vinyl tile) * 80-85% of your time winning specifications with architects interior designers, but also other specifiers such as capital project teams within healthcare, education and social housing/ housing associations * Remainder of your time managing the relationships with the substantial amount of flooring contractors and flooring distributors on the area (topping up shade cards within distribution trade counters, dealing with complaints etc.) * Inheriting an area with a circa GBP3.5m turnover, currently performing in line with budget * 90%+ of your time will be winning projects within existing relationships * Small amount of time will be focused on new business/ new customer relationships * Projects can vary in size from a small refurbishment of only GBP2,000 up to new build hospital which could be as much as GBP1m The ideal applicant will be an Area Sales Manager Flooring Solutions with: * Ideally flooring field sales experience (open to distribution field sales experience) * Specification field sales experience is not essential as can be taught * Open to interior building product backgrounds such as; fabric, wall coverings, flooring, partitioning, ceilings, lighting and all other aesthetically pleasing interiors * Willing to listen and learn * Preferably moldable * Consultative approach * Ability to handle projects from inception right through to completion * Understanding of design, flair and creativity * IT literate The Company: * Est. 100 years+ * 300+ Employees * GBP100m+ turnover * Family run Mitchell Maguire is a specialist Construction Field Sales Recruitment Consultancy, dealing exclusively with Construction Field Sales Jobs, Construction field sales vacancies and Specification field sales positions within: Safety flooring, resilient flooring, heterogeneous flooring, lino (Linoleum) and Luxury Vinyl Tile (LVT) and Static Control flooring systems, flooring, interior furnishing, wooden floor, acoustic floor, vinyl floor, laminate floor, LVT, safety floor, carpet, safety flooring, wall panels and other interior building products
