Maintenance technician

A Maintenance Technician is sought by a global automotive manufacturing organisation serving customers in over 150 countries, based at their Burton:upon:Trent plant on three rotating shifts. The Role: As a Maintenance Technician you ll be responsible for helping to ensure the effective, efficient operation of all plant and warehouse facilities over a three shift rotation. Your duties will include: : Responsible for maintenance of the assembly equipment and facilities as and when required. : Respond to breakdowns as and when they occur on the assembly equipment on an urgent basis. : Responsible for the recording and analysing of data from equipment failures. : Responsible for liaising with and working with outside contractors. : Responsible for planning and carrying out Planned Preventative Maintenance activities. : Assist operations in improving uptime on the equipment by applying problem solving techniques. : Working on bespoke assembly fixtures and conveyor systems, utilising knowledge of pneumatics, electrics, PLC systems (Siemens) and robotics. : Flexible and willing to work in any area/shift, and support opposite shift when required. The successful Maintenance Technician will have the following: : Previous experience in a similar maintenance role with a fast:paced manufacturing environment, preferably automotive : Time:served apprenticeship with relevant qualification Level 3 or HNC, or equivalent : Proficient with Siemens PLCs, fault finding and writing / structuring new programs : 18th Edition certification would be ideal : Ability to work under pressure : Good interpersonal skills to help foster teamwork and achieve business objectives : Ability to cooperate with people of different levels inside/outside the company : Ability to identify and eliminate health, safety, ergonomic and environmental hazards in the workplace : Willingness to learn and develop, and to undertake any relevant training and self:development activities where required The following skills and experience are preferred but not essential: : Other certified skills Fanuc robot controllers, MEWPs / working at height and forklift truck licence. : Experience of managing others : Use of CMMS for tracking and controlling at maintenance activities : Capable IT skills with MS Office Suite including Outlook, Teams, Excel Benefits package includes: : Excellent salary : Shift allowance 25 of base salary : 26 days holiday, rising to 30 days with service + bank holidays : Pension scheme : Life assurance : Excellent training : Free onsite parking : Three rotating shifts: 6am:2pm, 2pm:10pm, 10pm:6am : 38 hours per week Maintenance Technician Burton on Trent, Staffordshire : commutable from Derby, Ashby de la Zouch, Lichfield, Uttoxeter, Tamworth, Walsall, Coleshill, Sutton Coldfield etc Excellent salary + benefits Maintenance Engineer Shift Engineer Mechanical Electrical Electronics Mechanical Multi:Skilled Multiskilled Automotive Engineer Plant Engineer Maintenance Technician Lead Maintenance Senior Engineer Lead Engineer Maintenance Lead
