Our work is essential to enable HS2 trains to travel between London and Birmingham as well as continue their journey up to Manchester. It rsquo;s an incredibly exciting time to join us - we rsquo;re at peak construction with work really ramping up on a broad range of assets including bridges, tunnels and viaducts. Plus you rsquo;d join 9,000 people across 72 nationalities working on this exciting section of HS2 across the region. We currently have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Change Planner within the project controls team. There are a number of positions available under this role based at key locations across the project; Birmingham, Coleshill, Coventry, Kingsbury and Lichfield. This role will be based on site in Coleshill. Our head office is located within an excellent location easily accessible via the M6 and M42. The office is also accessible via rail, and we offer employees a shuttle bus transfer to our office from Birmingham international. Role description: * To investigate and evaluate the impact of changes (Compensation Events) in order to establish an extension of time for the Key and Completion dates. * Potentially a Sublot based role liaising with the central / head office compensation event team so that the evaluated time can be incorporated into the overall monthly delay analysis submission. * Liaise with the Sub Lot Planning, Project Controls and Commercial departments on a daily basis to ensure we recover time and proactively build up a workload of events in advance of the central teams inclusion in their monthly analysis. Experienced required: * Working knowledge of NEC3 form of contract. * Evaluation of compensation events. * Time impact analysis and forensic analysis capabilities. * Report writing skills. * Substantial site experience of which some must be in relevant disciplines and some as a senior discipline planner. * Considerable, in-depth experience of planning project control services within large complex environments within the construction and engineering industry. * Understanding of various forms of tender documents, contract documents and specifications. * Knowledge of in risk and opportunity management . * Advanced understanding of the events that initiate, and of the methods used to demonstrate, delay or change entitlement. In the Midlands, it is Balfour Beatty VINCI rsquo;s role to design and build the route, ready for tracks and signalling to be installed. Our work with HS2 Balfour Beatty VINCI have been awarded a 90km section of the HS2 project from Long Itchington in Warwickshire to the centre of Birmingham and then on to Handsacre in Staffordshire.
