Our work is essential to enable HS2 trains to travel between London and Birmingham as well as continue their journey up to Manchester. It rsquo;s an incredibly exciting time to join us - we rsquo;re at peak construction with work really ramping up on a broad range of assets including bridges, tunnels and viaducts. Plus you rsquo;d join 9,000 people across 72 nationalities working on this exciting section of HS2 across the region. We currently have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Senior Planner within the Planning Team. This role will be based on site in Water Orton, The project rsquo;s most complex network of structures in the West Midlands, this sublot includes the Delta Junction ndash; a triangular section of the high-speed railway made up of nine precast segmental viaducts, embankments, and other bridging structures, with around 10km of track crossing a network of motorways, roads and rivers. Assist in Management of planning function of a Sub Lot. bull; Assist in the production and maintenance of working programme. bull; Assist in the maintenance of the Clause 32 monthly programme. bull; Review and assist in the production of detailed Sub Lot programmes (in Synchro). bull; Ensure sub-contractors issue their Clause 31 and Clause 32 programmes. bull; Monitor progress against plan and review with Sub Lot leads. bull; Liaise with implementation team of logic and communicate amendments. bull; Assist in the production of process maps with Planning Manager. bull; Production of lsquo;As Built rsquo; data. bull; To establish and maintain positive and effective relationships with customers, senior management, partners and delivery teams. Experienced required bull; Computer literacy: - Primavera (all versions) - Microsoft Project - Word/Excel - TiLOS - Synchro bull; Report writing skills bull; Substantial site experience of which some must be in relevant disciplines and some as a senior discipline planner. bull; Presentation skills. bull; Aptitude for logic and attention to detail. bull; Experience of planning project control services within large complex environments within the construction and engineering industry bull; Understanding of various forms of tender documents, contract documents and specifications bull; Good understanding of various methods of project controls, planning and performance reporting bull; An understanding in risk and opportunity management bull; An understanding of the events that initiate, and of the methods used to demonstrate, delay or change entitlement bull; Good understanding of the construction market, methods of construction, plant, equipment and labour requirements Please note candidates will need to have a current valid right to work in the UK to be considered for this role. Our work with HS2 Balfour Beatty VINCI have been awarded a 90km section of the HS2 project from Long Itchington in Warwickshire to the centre of Birmingham and then on to Handsacre in Staffordshire.
