Maths Teacher needed in a SEMH School in Redditch Immediately Are you a confident Maths Teacher? Do you have experience working with young people with social emotional mental health needs? Are you passionate about supporting young people outside of mainstream education? A SEMH school in Redditch are looking for a dedicated Maths Teacher to join their team full-time, starting ASAP on an ongoing basis. This Forward-thinking and ambitious school is located in Redditch caters for students aged 11 ndash; 16 with social emotional mental health needs and related behaviours. In order to seek educational excellence, they maintain consistence with the approach to any issues they are faced with. You will be responsible for teaching small classes of children with SEMH needs, meaning that you must be able to adjust your teaching methods and the existing curriculum to meet the needs of each individual child specifically children with autism spectrum disorder. It is important that you help and inspire the children to help them reach their true academic potential! Planning is also involved in this role. The preferred candidate will have: * Experience in working with special needs (ASC, MLD, SEMH) * Minimum 6 months rsquo; experience working with children and young people. * QTS preferred but non-qualified candidates will be considered. * Excellent knowledge of the National Curriculum (Maths). * Experience of using CPI (MAPA, Team Teach) is advantageous but not essential. * Enhanced DBS registered or willing to acquire a new certificate. * Can effectively manage behaviour using positive behaviour strategies. * Will be kind, caring and patient when dealing with children who require specialist support.
