Primary teaching assistant hlta cover supervisor needed in leicester

GSL Education Leicester are looking for a Teaching Assistant/Cover Supervisors to work in one of our Primary Schools. The role will be working in Year 6 classroom doing both TA role and cover supervisor role in the Teachers absence. As a Cover Supervisor, your main responsibilities will be to: Supervisor classes across the curriculum in the event of a teacher absence. Ensure that pupils are engaging in pre-planned work. Manage pupil behaviour to create a safe and positive learning environment. Liaise with other staff members in regard to work being set and ensure you have all suitable resources. Provide feedback to the class teacher on pupil attendance, engagement and completion of work tasks. To be a successful Cover Supervisor you should: Hold an NVQ Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or higher or be a Graduate considering a career in education. Have knowledge of safeguarding and child protection policies (training can be provided). Have the ability and willingness to undertake additional training and courses to enhance your professional development. Empathise with young people and have good interpersonal and communication skills. Have the ability to use your own initiative to work flexibly and be able to respond to different situations.
