Machine operator

Kinetic Industrial are recruiting for an experienced Machine Operator for a Birmingham based client. Our client is a global, process driven manufacturing company, and are a world leader in their industry. As a Machine Operator you will be contributing to the smooth running of the production process in an efficient, safe and cost effective manner. In order to be successful in this position, you must be able to work 12 hour continental shifts, including days, nights and weekends. The role: * Operating large industrial machinery to ensure the production of high quality products * Developing skills and knowledge in order to operate machinery and auxiliary equipment * Using process control computers * Assisting maintenance staff in the events of breakdowns in blockages to get the plant back into operation as quickly and safely as possible * Liaising with the production team in respect of production plan * Using process knowledge and skill to ensure work is carried out in a safe and controlled manner in the event of a machine failure * Ensuring that all paperwork is completed correctly * Reporting and liaising with the production team leader in respect of production operation, problems, efficiencies and safety * Working alongside production team colleagues to minimise losses and quality issues * Participating in an continuous improvement culture * Adopting any changes in operating procedures or equipment * Ensuring good housekeeping is maintained * Adhering to health and safety procedures Requirements: * Experience of machinery operation is essential * Experience of working in a fast-paced manufacturing / production environment * Experience with process controls * 5 GCSE #39;s or equivalent incl.
