Teaching assistant

We are currently searching for a bubbly, energetic and experienced Teaching Assistant to work in a Secondary School in Harlow! Classroom Support are currently searching for a promising Teaching Assistant on behalf of a fantastic Secondary School in Harlow. The ideal candidate will be a hardworking Teaching Assistant with recent experience working in schools and will have ideally have experience both supporting pupils in small groups as well as providing dedicated 1:1 support for pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) such as ADHD and Autism. You will need to be flexible ndash; you most required to support children throughout Years 7-11 and be able to provide 1:1 support for SEN pupils when required. The specifications of the role are as follows: * Monday to Friday ndash; 8:30am to 3:30pm (term-time only). * GBP85-95 per day. * Weekly pay. * To supervise and provide educational support for pupils. * To provide support for individual pupils inside and outside of class to help them interact with others and to engage in classroom activities. * To use effective behaviour management techniques. * To provide detailed and regular feedback about the pupil(s) to their teacher. * To demonstrate patience and resilience when supporting challenging pupils. To start in May 2024. The requirements of the role are as follows: * You must have a valid enhanced DBS certificate (registered on the update service) or be willing to pay for a new one (GBP52.20). * You must have previous experience working in schools (within the past 2 years). * You must be confident comfortable working with pupils with SEN and/or challenging pupils.
