Controls automation engineer

They are now looking for a Controls Automation Engineer to join the team on a contract basis. Job Responsibilities: * Design, develop, and maintain PLC-based control systems. * Utilize industry-standard PLC programming environments to create robust and efficient control solutions. * Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including mechanical, electrical, and software engineers, to ensure seamless integration of control systems. * Conduct rigorous testing and validation of control algorithms to guarantee optimal performance under various operating conditions. * Provide technical expertise in system diagnostics, troubleshooting, and issue resolution during the deployment and operational phases. * Stay abreast of the latest advancements in PLC technology and control systems to continually enhance system capabilities. Experience Required: * Bachelor #39;s degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems, or a related field. Master #39;s degree preferred. * Proven expertise in PLC programming and control system design. * Experience with industry-standard PLC platforms and development environments ndash; Ideally Beckhoff. * Knowledge of marine control systems and experience in the marine industry is highly desirable. * Familiarity with HMI design and integration for system monitoring and user interaction. * Strong problem-solving skills and an analytical approach to system design. * Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a dynamic team environment. * Commitment to innovation and a passion for sustainability in the marine industry
