By joining one of our specialist teams you will enjoy a number of benefits: #x25CF; an elevated pay rate that will exceed existing local pay rates - ranging from GBP14.50 per hour to GBP20.38 #x25CF; a rolling rota offering consistency and predictability #x25CF; a supportive and close knit team for daily support #x25CF; excellent communication and support from your Randstad local specialist team #x25CF; a variety of pay options #x25CF; an opportunity to use your specialist experience and skills and develop other #x25CF; access to training for professional development What can you expect from joining a specialist team: #x25CF; an opportunity to dedicate your experience and skills to a child or young person #x25CF; providing day to day support relating to activities, appointments, family contact and much more ideally you will have a driving licence and business insurance #x25CF; being busy engaging and encouraging the child or young person to take part in activities and form structure #x25CF; providing accurate reports and information to support the development of care plans and goals #x25CF; playing a critical role in the safety and wellbeing of the child or young person What you will bring: The role - each specialist team will have differences, to excel in this specialist setting you will need to evidence: #x25CF; supporting children and young people in a residential setting #x25CF; confidence to work with colleagues at times of heightened behaviours to de-escalate situations #x25CF; experience of using de-escalation techniques to keep children and young people safe #x25CF; experience making decisions and taking action in challenging situations #x25CF; an understanding of detailed and accurate daily record keeping, incident reporting #x25CF; be creative when engaging and establishing trust with children and young people #x25CF; demonstrate sound communication and judgement #x25CF; clarity over protecting personal and professional boundaries at all times Commitment - As an integral part of a specialist team we are looking for individuals who can; #x25CF; be a consistent part of a team offering dedicated support to a child or young person #x25CF; provide availability and maintain this for the duration of the support required #x25CF; to take time to read relevant reports, referrals and profiles to gain insight to the child or young person Personality - Our specialist staff teams are successful because they are passionate and have a deep commitment to providing safety and support when it is needed most. To join this team we look for individuals who demonstrate the following: #x25CF; calmness during crisis situations such as aggression, self harm, destructive behaviours for example #x25CF; confidence in your experience to support you making prompt decisions on a daily basis #x25CF; understanding of how trauma, previous experiences and diagnoses can impact day to day behaviours of children and young people #x25CF; non judgemental keeping an open mind and refraining from criticising even during challenging situations #x25CF; resilience to continue supporting through particularly stressful situations and to keep trying new ways to engage and build trust #x25CF; observant your observations and outcomes of support will have a significant impact on the childs / young person #39;s journey, you will have heightened awareness levels and the ability to share these insights through your reports and meetings with other professionals Skills and training #x25CF; Ideally drivers licence and business insurance #x25CF; DBS on update service or support new application #x25CF; Registered with relevant regulatory body #x25CF; PMVA trained - ideally or willing to undertake training What to expect next: We have excellent opportunities to support your professional development within the children #39;s services sector across the UK.
