Technical manager

Technical Manager ndash; Kings Lynn ndash; 35 ndash; 45k We are currently recruiting for a leading frozen food production company based in Kings Lynn. Due to their continued growth and development they are seeking to employ a Technical Manager to start as soon as possible on a permanent basis. You will have: Experience in a Quality assessing field previously Have a good knowledge of HACCP TACCP VACCP systems Understanding of trace testing Strong Excel knowledge and skills Attention to detail - quality controlling Experience within BRC - Supply chain assurance Must have experience in running a QMS Working Hours: middot; Monday ndash; Friday middot; 8am ndash; 4pm or 9am ndash; 5pm Role Overview: middot; Be the technical and compliance contact for their customers, service providers and their growing team middot; Advise the product development team of all relevant food safety guidance and legislation middot; Ensure product packaging compliance middot; Liaise with team members on all matters related to product quality and report back to the relevant people when required middot; Complete inbound product checks of all raw materials middot; Provide additional QC support during production runs Responsibilities accountabilities: (list key tasks and responsibilities including those for food safety, quality and legality) middot; Be the technical and compliance contact for our customers and service providers. middot; Be the technical support for the growing team where required, providing monthly reporting on compliance, growing, pest disease, product quality, customer issues and complaints middot; Advise product development team of all relevant food safety guidance and legislation middot; Ensure product packaging compliance middot; Liaise with the Qualipak site team on all matters related to product quality and report back to the PACK rsquo;D team when required middot; Complete inbound product checks of all raw materials and components middot; Provide additional QC support during production runs middot; Manage weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual tasks associated with Quality Management System. middot; Lead the annual BRC certification renewal audit middot; Oversee the HACCP, TACCP VACCP systems middot; Product service supplier approval and management middot; Corrective actions, non-conformances Manage laboratory testing compliance, finished product release, recall program, document control and traceability programs middot; Responsible for management and development of raw material and final product specifications middot; Managing the technical@ inbox and Outlook calendar. middot; Manage the Organic certification compliance and annual renewal audit Decision Making Authority: (for example decision on HACCP systems, TACCP/VACCP system, supplier approval, corrective actions, non- conforming products, product testing, finished product release, product recall, document control and customer complaints).
