Quality Manager West Midlands Our client is a manufacturer of ready meals and handmade buffet items for the foodservice sector. Today they produce over 300 different product lines at their factory using the finest ingredients sourced from all over the world. With a focussed development process led by an experienced and strong development team, they carry out extensive market research and product benchmarking. In turn, this allows them to produce a comprehensive product range that offers both excellent quality and value for money and secures their ongoing position in the market. As their commitment to growth and continued customer satisfaction is steadfast, they have identified a requirement to appoint a new Quality Manager. The Quality Manager will work with SMT, reviewing the current processes and procedures in place across the factory operation. As a people driven people-manager, they will be able to get lsquo;under the skin rsquo; of the factory floor, understand the areas that are working well and those which could benefit from potential enhancements. MAIN DUTIES To lead and support the quality team in order to ensure the highest quality and hygiene standards are met throughout the site and all relevant due diligence documentation is completed accurately. RESPONSIBILITIES DUTIES To be responsible for: * * * Leading and supporting the quality control team. * Checking food safety and food hygiene procedures for all personnel on the factory floor. * Ensuring that all paperwork relating to HACCP or food safety procedures are completed correctly. * Checking product quality on the factory floor. * Ensuring high levels of site hygiene and housekeeping. * Providing quality performance reports. * Issuing and collecting daily quality documentation. * Developing a culture of continuous improvement. SKILLS ATTRIBUTES * Leadership experience. * Strong observational skills. * Strong sense of hygiene and housekeeping. * Good organisational skills with time management. * Experience of Quality control. PRODUCTION SHIFT Flexible 44 hour a week day shift. SALARY Up to GBP45,000 20 Days Holiday This senior appointment will enjoy significant levels of autonomy.
