Vacancy Summary Job Title: Senior Design Manager Job Type: Permanent Job Ref: #1063 Location: Oxfordshire Start Date: ASAP Salary: cGBP80k-GBP85k basic plus competitive package in car or allowance, health, pension etc. Company Project: A Tier 1 Main Contractor operating in the MOD, Commercial, Mixed-Use and Industrial sectors, are seeking to recruit a Senior Design Manager to work on major project from early feasibility stages through to on-site design coordination. The project is valued at cGBP150m in the Defence/Government Sector, with a team of 4/5 Design Managers in place currently. Duties Responsibilities: The successful candidate will take responsibility for technical compliance and design management predominantly at early feasibility and procurement stages, but also with involvement monitoring the on-site Design coordination and managing external consultants. You will act as the key point of coordination between the design teams, client and on-site delivery team. Managing a small team of Design Manager is also a key part of this position. A process driven individual, with practical construction knowledge, and a keen eye for detail is an essential skillset for this role. Desirable Experience: Extensive experience as a Senior Design Manager OR Technical Manager OR Design Build Manager on complex construction projects in excess of GBP50m+ from early planning stages through to project completion. Minimum of 10 years #39; experience working for a Main Contractor. Experience managing a small team would be advantageous. Previous Roles: Senior Design Manager OR Design Manager OR Senior Design Co-ordinator OR Design Build Manager.Qualifications Skills: HNC or Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or Architecture or comparable qualification.
