Experienced Project Manager with a prime residential background We are working alongside a successful London based building main contractor, with offices in the London area. They have recently won several new schemes and are keen to recruit a talented Project Manager (number 1). The contractor specialises in the luxury residential market, with clients including Grosvenor Properties, The Historic Houses Association and a who rsquo;s who list of famous and wealthy clients. They cover an area around Mayfair, Belgravia, Knightsbridge and North London carrying out projects up to GBP35m in value. The schemes predominately involve structural refurbishments and very expensive finishes. The contractor rsquo;s business model is extremely well managed, with a reputation for producing a quality project on time and budget, which results in a large amount of repeat business. The role Project Manager will contribute at the highest level with regards to responsibility for delivery of the project safely, on time and to the client rsquo;s satisfaction. The Project Manager will ensure that during the project all aspects of safety, environmental, quality, technical and commercial management issues are implemented and maintained, whilst building a close relationship with the client. The Project Manager will drive and motivate the site team to create the best possible finishes. Requirements Our client is looking for someone that can communicate well (good client skills), experienced at managing subcontractors, as well as maximising and getting the best out of the direct labour. The Project Manager will have a background and be extremely competent at bringing in a project to time, quality and budget. Other pre requisites are: Main or subcontracting contracting background, with an eye for detail. A background and understanding of prime residential schemes Experience of project managing heavy structural refurbishment schemes, capable of reading all on-site drawings. Strong management and communication skills Commercially and technically competent Comfortable with managing meetings and dealing with the client and their representatives.
