Bookkeeper part time

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Part Qualified Accountant ndash; Bookkeeper to join our client rsquo;s team on a part-time basis 25 hours per week over 5 days. The ideal candidate will possess a combination of professional qualifications and practical experience, demonstrating proficiency in AAT Level 4 or equivalent, along with a strong accounting background . Key Responsibilities: Conduct day-to-day bookkeeping tasks for a portfolio of clients. Prepare VAT returns and management accounts. Handle client enquiries promptly and professionally. Year and month end tasks Excel Sage Provide support and guidance to junior/trainee team members. Occasionally visit clients for face-to-face meetings, demonstrating confidence and professionalism in client-facing situations Complete tax returns and statutory accounts, if possible Demonstrate flexibility and willingness to adapt to meet deadlines and client needs. Qualifications and Skills: AAT Level 4 qualification or equivalent experience Proven experience in practice, with a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite Strong attention to detail and accuracy Confidence in client-facing interactions Paid overtime Personal Attributes: Reliable and punctual Personable and approachable, with a professional demeanour Confident in own capabilities, expertise, and experience Willingness to take on responsibility and grow within the practice.
