Teaching assistant

Creative Teachers are seeking to recruit Learning Support Assistants to join a committed team part of a Primary School in Portsmouth. We are looking for enthusiastic and caring people to join the school in Portsmouth as soon as possible. Candidates will need to have a good understanding how children learn. Experience of delivering learning intervention programs for SEN children would also be desirable. The vacancy is to support children with a range of intervention programmes and also with class based activities working. The successful candidate will also have a daily lunchtime duty where they will be required to supervise children on the playground or in the dining hall. The successful candidate will: * Be cheerful, flexible and approachable; * Have energy and enthusiasm, and be able to show initiative within the role; * Be a team player, able to work closely with teachers and other adults within the classroom to ensure the best for our pupils; * Be patient and have good communication skills; * Have a good understanding of child development and some experience of supporting children rsquo;s learning. You will be required to work Monday to Friday, term time only
