Qc engineer

Scout Recruiting now has an opportunity for a proactive QC Engineer with skills/experience in quality control, with knowledge and experience of welding/fabrication including application of appropriate EN and ASME standards and NDT techniques. This role is with a local global company based on the outskirts of Stamford Lincolnshire. Salary Circa GBP50K plus excellent non salaried benefits. Responsibilities: bull; Preparation and sign off of project Final Inspection Release Certificates, Inspection Test Plans (ITP) and inspection and test procedures. bull; Review and approval of vendor manufacturing data (WPS/PQR/NDE/painting procedures/ITP etc). bull; Reviewing of Inspection and Test Records including sign off and approval of final Manufacturing Record Books (MRB) bull; Provide inspection cover for European suppliers as and when required. bull; Carry out dimensional, visual, NDE and other inspections of equipment during manufacture and on completion. bull; To provide QC support to all departments. bull; Provide support to Project Managers as required. bull; Ensure the company QC Objectives are achieved. bull; Look to reduce waste and increase efficiency. bull; To understand and work to Company guidelines and observe all Company policies. bull; To ensure that the Company QHSE Policy is adhered to, actively promoting a healthy, safe and environmentally responsible working environment. bull; Reviewing of fabrication drawings, preparation of Weld Procedures, preparation of Manufacturing, Engineering and Testing Procedures. The Person: bull; A relevant degree (desirable) bull; Knowledge of structural steel and pipework fabrication, CE Marking, Pressure Equipment Directive (2014/68/EU) and ISO 3834 bull; Skilled in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Office Visio bull; Excellent communicator, verbal and written bull; Ability to implement new processes bull; Experience in a QC Engineering Role within an engineering/manufacturing site or similar bull; A relevant formal qualification would be preferred bull; CSWIP 3.1, PCN level II DPE, MPI, Radiographic interpretation, Industrial Radiograph (desirable) bull; Knowledge of Euronorm and ASME Construction, inspection, and welding codes and standards bull; European Welding Engineer (desirable) bull; Excellent team player bull; Resourceful, well organised, highly dependable, efficient and detail orientated bull; Confident and assertive bull; Ability to use initiative and make decisions autonomously bull; Must live within 1-hour commute to the office, or willing to relocate locally. bull; Must be willing to travel internationally when a need arises
