Health Safety Manager - Rail Wessex Kent Region Up to GBP62,000 per annum + Car or Car Allowance Are you an experienced Health and Safety Advisor feeling like your career has plateaued? The Role As Health and Safety Manager, you will be joining this established team to take responsibility for all Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality management across critical projects and frameworks. This will be focussed upon 3 in particular within Wessex, Sussex and Kent regions. You will engage with project delivery teams to ensure Safety Management Systems are being followed on site, undertaking site inspections, audits and producing reports. It is important for this organisation that HSQE management is not considered lsquo;policing rsquo; activity; you must foster positive relationships with all teams promoting both procedural and behavioural safety. The Health and Safety Manager will also ensure all policies, procedures and processes are under continual review to identify opportunities for improvements. You will of course be responsible for leading investigations for accidents / incidents. lsquo;An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure rsquo; hellip; This is a role that requires proactive efforts to ensure safe systems of work exist, are practiced and owned by the whole organisation, to guarantee the health and wellbeing of all colleagues, sub-contractors, clients and the wider public during delivery of these projects. Support is also provided to achieve and maintain professional memberships / status. About You This is a role suitable for an experience Health and Safety professional looking for a broader and more diverse range of railway infrastructure projects. You must have prior experience in this sector and be familiar with the complexities and requirements for effective health and safety management delivering projects in an operational railway environment This is a mobile role so will require your flexibility to travel to sites around the UK Ideally you will be CMIOSH qualified.
