Warehouse operations manager

Job Title: Warehouse Operations Manager Location: Newark-on-Trent Full time: Monday to Friday, Day Shift (40 hours per week) We are seeking an experienced Manager to manage the day-to-day warehouse operations of our company. The right candidate must be adaptable and enthusiastic, a diligent individual with a drive and passion to succeed. Help us improve our processes and mature the business. Our client is multi-channel business which currently has several stores across the United Kingdom today, as well as a fully transactional website which ships to customers internationally. Role Overview: This role holds responsibility for the day-to-day running of all aspects of the warehouse, from Inbound through to Dispatch, you will retain control and visibility of the workloads and manage the headcounts for the warehouse accordingly. You will be able to manage multiple areas through Team Managers and Team Leaders ensuring volumes and KPIs are hit daily and customers are serviced in a timely manner. You will support the Warehouse and Logistics Manager with the design and implementation of multiple projects in order to ensure the continued growth of the business. Key Accountabilities Responsibilities: bull; Implement and improve operational processes, managing resources effectively, and ensuring the smooth running of all operational functions bull; Develop and implement operational strategies to support business growth and efficiency. bull; Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and resource allocation to meet business objectives. bull; Monitor key performance indicators and metrics to identify areas for improvement. bull; Assist with recruitment processes, including posting job ads, liaising with recruitment partners, and organising interview schedules. bull; Proactively look for ways to keep employee welfare and engagement consistently high. bull; Lead and develop a team of Managers / Leaders and SME rsquo;s bull; Support management of Health and Safety across the site bull; Take the lead with onboarding new colleagues, staff development training as well as performance management processes Desired Knowledge Skills Experience bull; Demonstratable experience in driving continuous improvement within a manual warehouse bull; Experience in Ecom / B2B and Internal processes. bull; Extensive WMS experience ndash; be able to interrogate systems and build reports from the extracted data (essential) bull; Positive, Pro Active approach to challenges (essential) bull; Previous experience as a Shift Manager / Ops Manager role (essential) leading other Leaders / Managers. (Minimum 3 years) bull; Previous experience in other aspects of the warehouse (inventory / CS / Merch etc. would be beneficial) bull; Strong excel experience (essential) bull; Understanding of basic project management techniques (beneficial) bull; Flexibility in shift times would be advantageous to cover opening / closing where required bull; Overtime (inc weekends) would be required during key periods bull; Any MHE experience (licenses) would be beneficial bull; Flexible, able to adapt quickly to an ever-growing constantly changing environment. bull; Comfortable working under pressure.
