Electrical design engineer

A rare opportunity has arisen for an Electrical Design Engineer to join an expanding team specialising in the development of electronic, electrical and control systems with a growing international client base. Electrical Design Engineer GBP30,000 - GBP55,000 +paid overtime, pension flexi-time. Based on 37.5 hours per week. North East based. Ref: 18845 Electrical Design Engineer ndash; The Role: #x2981; Preparing project documentation including basis of design, detailed functional design specification, FAT, SIT and SAT procedures. #x2981; Creating design concepts and producing detailed design documentation from them including (but not limited to) electrical schematics, general arrangement drawings, cabinet and panel layout drawings, I/O lists, 3D models, bills of materials, alarms lists, design reports, cause effect matrices, FMECA. #x2981; Liaising with Purchasing for equipment procurement, preparing RFQs and technical procurement specifications. #x2981; Liaising with Production, resolving design documentation issues and creating as built drawings. #x2981; Start up, commissioning, factory acceptance testing, and where necessary site commissioning site integration and acceptance testing. #x2981; Production of final project close out documentation package including drawing updates, O M manuals, spare parts lists. Electrical Design Engineer ndash; The Person: #x2981; Degree qualified or equivalent. #x2981; Proficient with 3D CAD design, 3D modelling and simulation platforms, E-Plan ideal but training will be provided. #x2981; You will have experience of taking designs from concept to reality, and will be familiar with producing specifications, designs and calculations from scratch encompassing PLC/SCADA, power generation and distribution and variable speed drive systems. #x2981; Control and automation software experience would also be a distinct advantage. #x2981; Highly motivated, practical and proactive. #x2981; Customer focused and commercially aware. This role is based in the Middlesbrough area commutable from; Darlington, Hartlepool, Richmond, Durham, Stockton On Tees, Redcar and Thirsk.
