Join our dynamic team as an Area Operations Leader, where you will play a crucial role in leading the receiving operations within our production facility. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the area operates effectively, guaranteeing a continuous supply of high-quality potatoes that meet our planned schedule. You will also be responsible for hellip; Leadership: bull; Lead and manage the performance of individuals through regular performance, career, and development discussions. bull; Ensure Health and Safety in the receiving area, conducting audits and regular behavioural Observation of Safety (BOS) audits to reinforce a safety culture. bull; Equip and train the team for optimal performance, including conducting SOP assessments. bull; Coordinate day-to-day tasks of receiving operatives, managing breaks to maintain continuous potato supply. bull; Organize holiday planning, manage team sickness, and oversee time and attendance. bull; Coordinate shared resources within receiving areas, supporting technical training for the team. Business: bull; Ensure health and safety standards, including KES and behavioural Safety audits. bull; Collaborate with production and Potato Scheduling Manager to achieve schedule attainment and total line utilization/recoveries. bull; Manage day-to-day operations, including SAP system requirements. bull; Ensure area KPIs align with wider plant and Agriculture objectives. bull; Operate within best practice food safety guidelines and maintain audit readiness. bull; Lead traceability activities and oversee waste management within the receiving area. Technical: bull; Ensure daily SQDCEP delivery, including washers, crop utilization, and effective blending operations. bull; Liaise daily with production teams, making decisions on blending rates and technology operations. bull; Validate specifications at the peeler handover point with production. bull; Conduct routine sampling of raw materials, record data, and liaise with production for specification achievements. bull; Manage wet and dry bins, utilizing raw material for the highest usable. Health Safety: bull; Be accountable for personal safety and that of all personnel under your authority. bull; Establish practices for a safe working environment and hold people accountable for safety standards. bull; Challenge unsafe behaviors and enforce company H S policy. Food Safety: bull; Implement the company #39;s food safety and quality policy. bull; Maintain a Food Safety and Quality-focused mindset in your area. bull; Promote behaviors preventing contamination threats and escalate non-compliance immediately. bull; Be accountable for audit success within your area to support overall site audit success. WHERE YOU rsquo;LL WORK hellip; You rsquo;ll be based at our Scarborough plant in North Yorkshire. We opened this plant back in the swinging sixties, but it rsquo;s definitely not stuck in the past. It rsquo;s one of the largest French fry factories in the world and after a recent development, it rsquo;s also one of the most high tech. Our team of over 300 colleagues work hard to make sure the quality of our products keep our customers returning for more, for now and years to come! We also know you rsquo;ll want to know what you rsquo;ll be working. Our shifts are typically 12-hours, working 2 days on (7am-7pm), 1 day off, 2 nights on (7pm-7am), 3 days off
