Job Title: Mechanical Engineering Technician Location: Cambridge On site full time Driving essential Salary: GBP25,000 We are excited to be working with a globally renowned name in the field of Biological Science. A new and exciting opportunity for a Trainee Mechanical Engineering Technician, ideally suited for an individual who is keen to begin a career in mechanical engineering or has recent experience in this role. Role Overview: Your duties as the Mechanical Engineering Technician role are to support the mechanical requirements across the site, including all scheduled maintenance, form plant, plumbing and ancillary services. Role Responsibilities: Ensure plant, equipment and rooms are working efficiently and in order. Work closely with the maintenance departments across the site. Undertake planned tasks to adhere to relevant regulations and legislation #39;s for safe working environments. Required Skills: Knowledge of mechanical systems Willingness to train for a Level 2 or 3 engineering qualification (if not held already) Experience in plant/plumbing/air handling unit (HVAC) Desired Skills: Educated in GCSE Grades A-C or equivalent in English or Maths. Electrical knowledge, plumbing, air con, heating, industrial technician Engineering qualification (NVQ 2,3 or equivalent) Engineering apprenticeship.
